What is Search and Track?
Designed to enhance forensic search, the Search and Track functionality is a query option that allows you to search for similar people based on either uploaded images or people and objects already detected by analytics.
Making use of our bespoke person descriptor metadata feature, the Search and Track functionality provides fast and accurate searching for people and targets that doesn’t require hours of manual work. VCA Search and Track gives detailed search results that return only people that are similar in shape, colour of clothing and texture without having to specify anything other than a referenced image or already detected object. Other filters such as filter by time, channel and zones can also be used to improve the quality of your search and track to find the individual within a matter of seconds.

Search and Track enables you to find a person of interest from your CCTV system within a matter of seconds. By filtering the metadata to show specific and relevant duration, channels and object details, you can find the results you’re looking for and target a person to the exact minute as quickly as possible. This is extremely useful in the retail or transport sector where people may need to be tracked in large airports, train stations or shopping centres.
Easy to use
The Search and Track feature has been built to find a person of interest with ease. From the metadata, you can select the person of interest from your video and simply click on that person to search the entire network of cameras for the target to track. Alternatively, you can upload a JPEG image from any source and use it to create a target and filter results.

The hardware requirements are minimal yet the results save hours of time. The Deep Learning based engine provides effective search results, helping you to find the person of interest without having to go through reams of video footage.
